Course Goal / Objective

The goal of the course is to give basic information about prehistory and Palaeolithic periods generally in the world.

Course Content

Prehistory examines our species in the past, from first becoming human until the Early Bronze Age. Taking as its subject the longest perıod of human history, prehistory focuses on elucidating all the evidence throughout these periods and tries to understand the stages of human life within the nature of this period. The course describes and teaches the students the significance and description of prehistory, necessary concepts and conceptual confusions, the historical framework of prehistory becoming a science and the emergence of important ideas and perspectives, and the physical and cultural stages through which mankind passed.
