Course Goal / Objective

The goal of this course is to take up the foundations of contemporary social and economic conditions (agriculture, occupation groups, styles of housing) in the framework of periods after the Palaeolithic (Mesolithic, Neolithic, Chalcolithic) generally around the world.

Course Content

After briefly revisiting the 'General Prehistory I' class, the course will teach the students about human societies becoming sedentary, beginning to farming, and then becoming socially complex, and about the techological and social stages which these cultures created and which are the foundations of today's technology.
