Course Goal / Objective

Give the general formalism of quantum mechanics and simple applications of 3 - dimensional problems

Course Content

Mathematical formulation of wave functions, Dirac's Bra -Ket Notation, The Schrödinger equation in spherical coordinates, Eigenfunctions of angular momentum, Radial Schrödinger equations, Hydrogen atom, Time independent perturbation theory, Time dependent perturbation theory, Angular momentum algebra and Spin
