Course Goal / Objective

The goal of thesecond methodology course is to teach you (1) to understand and (2) to confidently apply a variety of analytical methods and research designs that are essential for social science and communication/media reserach.

Course Content

Definition, aims, and properties of science and scientific methodology, historical development and phases of the scientific methodology, principles of the scientific methodology, steps of the scientific research process, data collection tools and methods, measurement and scaling, sampling procedures, data processing, data analysis, writing a research report, citation and bibliography.
