Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to acquaint the aimed nurse candidates with knowledge and ability to recognize, control and manage infectious diseases based on epidemiological and clinical knowledge and to understand the importance of managing these diseases in nursing profession.

Course Content

Introduction to infectious diseases, infectious disease agents, infectious disease, clinical features of infectious diseases, findings-indication, control, protection, hand hygiene, immunization, epidemiology of infectious diseases, airborne, water and food, via skin and mucosa, , Blood and blood products and zoonotic infections, hospital infections and management, risk groups in infectious diseases, infectious diseases in international health, data sources and internet use
