Course Goal / Objective

To teach first grade students of pharmacy faculty where they will use basic physics principles and laws in health, To provide students with a better understanding of biological systems and how to use basic physics principles and laws in solving problems.

Course Content

Measurement, the international unit system, significant numbers, rounding of numbers,The forces acting on the human body, Movement (running, jumping) and force, Energy, power and metabolic power,Fluids, pressure, pressure measurement, human body and pressure, temperature, temperature and health, heat and heat transfer mechanisms,Thermodynamics and human body, intermolecular and intermolecular bonds, Cell membranes, diffusion and osmosis, transport mechanisms of matter and resting membrane potential, Characteristics of action potentials, Ion channels, channel blockers and channelapaties, Electrophysiological recording methods: ECG, EMG, EEG, Ionized and non-ionized radiation, UV rays and health and Radiation protection and medical imaging methods.
