Course Goal / Objective
The course aims to give the students the basic theoretical knowledge on the pharmaceutical nomenclature prenciples.
Course Content
Chemical nomenclature principles of aliphatic, cycloaliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, single and two rings aromatics, bicyclic hydrocarbons, fused heterocycles, multi-ring carbocycles and heterocycles, functional groups in addition to some special structures such as steroids, prostaglandins, and amino acids according to IUPAC and CA rules and some stereochemical terms
