Course Goal / Objective

Students gain theoretical and practical skills in the management of housekeeping.

Course Content

Principles of house keeping management, relationship of housekeeping with other departments, housekeeping employees, Housekeeping employees, position within the organization, job descriptions, major advantage of housekeeper team staffing, material planning: administration of equipment and supplies, Housekeeping chemicals and usage, Cleaning Supplies and Equipment, daily routine of housekeeping department of the hotel, housekeeping department s reports with other departments, cleaning of the guestrooms, cleaning and maintenance, swimming pool operations and management, water chemistry, pest control, security within hotel Guestrooms, laundry equipment for larger hotels,
