Course Goal / Objective
To apply basic principles of economics to the problems encountered in agriculture and find solutions to these problems; to evaluate and assess the annual results of agricultural activities in an enterprise and farm.
Course Content
Basic issues and concepts in agricultural economics; development process of agriculture; characteristics of agricultural sector and its goods; agriculture and economic development; current status of agricultural sector in Turkey and in the world; main economic concepts and principles in agricultural economics; agricultural production factors and their characteristics; annual activity report analysis of a farm; balance sheet preparation and analysis; farm management; agricultural marketing; agricultural and food policies; agricultural organizations and cooperatives;
