Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to introduce students to the basic principles and steps of scriptwriting and to give them an understanding of the structure of a script and what it should include. This is an introductory level class where film and story ideas will be poured into the proper cinematic writing format.

Course Content

This lesson covers research and observation, creative imagination, the knowledge of film techniques, story writing, character creation, cinematic time and space, visual thinking and writing, phases of the scenario, shooting script preparation.
