Course Goal / Objective

Ventilation, heating and cooling are the important applications for environment conrol in the agricultural buildings (Livestock and greenhouse structures). It is necessery to know the heat transfers ways for desinging and managing of the ventilation, heating and cooling systems. In addition of these, designing and managing the process plants of agricultural products heat transfers is needed. For these reasons, the aim of this lecture to give the principles of heat transfer for designing and managing of ventilation, heating, cooling systems of agricultural structures and process plant systems for agricultural products.

Course Content

Intraduction, one-dimensional steady-state heat conduction, conductive heat transfer at the single and composite the slab, the cylinder and the sphere, convective heat transfer (free and forced convection), heat transfer by radiation.
