Course Goal / Objective

The aim of the course is to enable the students to explain the concept of school readiness, the factors affecting school readiness, the relationship between language and literacy, to evaluate the school readiness, to explain the roles of educators and parents in order to prepare children for primary education.

Course Content

The importance of preschool education and primary school in the life of child, the factors affecting the readiness for primary school and the relationship between language and literacy, evaluation of readiness for primary school and responsibilities of parents and educational professionals in transition to primary school.
