Course Goal / Objective

The main purpose of writing is to facilitate learners to express their emotions, thoughts, experiences, and observations in a logical way, and also to let them perceive what, where, when, and how to write their experiences creatively. However, foreign learners have difficulty at writing in Turkish language because of several reasons such as having a native language coming from different language family and alphabet. Therefore, foreign learners always need help to acquire the writing skills not only in their social life but also in their academic life. The purpose of this lesson is to provide learners enrolled in Çukurova University and continuing their education here with a high level of Turkish language by exposing them to genre in Turkish. In order to express oneself clearly in another language and to continue his academic and social life for any learner, the writing skills should be taught at high level.
