Course Goal / Objective

To main aim of this lecture is to gain knowledge and skills to students about the Main phytoplanktonic, zooplanktonic and benthic organisms used aquaculture and their use, and their nutritional contents and usage in larva culture.

Course Content

Phytoplanktonic organisms such as Microcytis, Merismopedia, Aphanocapsa, Lyngbya, spiriluna, Scenedesmus, Ankistrodesmus braunii, Chlorella fusca, Chlorella zofimgiensis, Haematoccus pluvialis and Zooplanktonic organizms such as Daphnia, Bosmina, Cyplops, Artemia and Rotifers; furthermore, benthic organisms such as Tubifex (Oligocheate) and Panagrellus redivivus, Chanorhabditis elegans, Steinernema feltiae (Nematode) used in aquaculture and nutritional contents such amino acid, fatty acid, mineral and vitamin profiles and their usage in larva culture
