Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to understand the general features of Ottoman Turkish in the 16th and 17th centuries.
Course Content
In this course the place of Ottoman Turkish in the history of Turkish language, the term of Ottoman Turkish, the periods of Ottoman Turkish, translate texts, Latin-language grammar books and dictionaries, 16th-century Turkish, 17th century Turkish and Evliya Çelebi Book of travel, the first language in the history of Turkish language: Baleybelen content are explained.
