Course Goal / Objective

To give the concepts frequently encountered in our daily lives on the application areas of chemistry.

Course Content

Industrial and environmental pollution, acid rain, global warming, energy resources of the world (fossil fuels, renewable and non-renewable energy), nuclear energy, drug treatment and chemistry: chemistry of blood, health and nutrients: food chemistry, glass and its components, porcelain and ceramics, chemistry and proper use of cleaning substances, photosynthesis, respiration, digestion
