Course Goal / Objective

To teach Textile Engineering students about determining the reasons of inefficiency, elimination of inefficiencies with the work study method and standard time determination

Course Content

Efficiency in a mill, Reducing the Scope of Work and Non-Effective Time, Work Study, Human Factor in the Application of Work Study, Working Conditions and Working Environment, Introduction to Method Study and Selection of Jobs, Saving (Forms etc.), Review, Development-Improvement, Material Flow and Manipulation, Workers' Movements in the Workplace, Methods and Movements in the Workplace, Defining, Placing, Maintaining, Measuring Work, Tools, Rating, Standard Time, Determining Time Standards for Mechanical Works
