Course Goal / Objective
To acquire knowledge on the protection and maintanence of physical, psychological and social health of the child and family.
Course Content
The conditions of mothers and children in Turkey and the world; the concept of healthy family, the concept of domestic violence; impregnation, embryo, the growth of fetus, some disorders and emergency situations during pregnancy, risky conditions during pregnancy (hypertension, diabetics, heart diseases), infections and medication during pregnancy, diet during pregnancy; physiological features of a new-born, infections at childhood, vaccines, accidents, emergency situations and first aid.
