Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to provide the students with knowledge about production of petrochemicals, oil, soap, detergent paper and fiber products, production and usage areas from fossil sources which are energy and chemical raw material sources.

Course Content

The production of petrochemicals, oil, soap, detergent paper and fiber products technologies, production and usage areas are explained to students.

LO01 At the end of this course, students will be able to: Have knowledge about production processes and usage areas of intermediate and finished materials.
LO02 They will have information about oil technology, vegetable oil production, refining, processing, hydrogenation process, oleochemistry and usage areas.
LO03 They will be able to have information about washing agents technology, surfactants, soaps, detergents and intended uses and industrial processes.
LO04 Students will be able to have information about the industrial processes and their usage areas related to paper, cellulose and fiber technology.
LO05 They will be able to have knowledge about industrial processes and their intended use in the production and coloring of synthetic fibers.
