Course Goal / Objective

Students to make healthy newborn follow-up, the neonatal period, and to urge all to recognize unhealthy situations is to acquire the knowledge and skills.

Course Content

Children' s Health Condition in the world and in Turkey,The Importance of Newborn and Neonatal Period Terminology, Newborn's Physiological Characteristics and Adaptation to Life out ouf of the Uterus, First Care and Physical Examination of the Newborn in Labour Ward, First Care and Physical Examination of the Newborn in Labour Ward, Possible Health Problems of Newborn, High-Risk Neonatal Care and Transportation, Neonatal Resuscitation, Newborn Nutrition and The Importance of Breastfeeding on Newborn Nutrition, Breastfeeding Techniques, Duties and Roles of the Health Care Staff About Breastfeeding Nutrition, Medicine Applications on Newborn , Special Applications for Newborn, Pain of Newborn, Psychosocial Care on Newborn and the Family, Fluid-Electrolyte Imbalance on a Newborn, Newborn Diagnosis , Infectious Diseases and Immunization, Genetic Counseling
