Course Goal / Objective

The lecture aims to provide information about basic principles of soil and water conservation,the mechanisms of soil erosion ,the methods and ways of avoiding erosion.

Course Content

Soil and water conservation terms, processes and mechanics of erosion and its classification, Relationship between of soil physical, soil chemical, soil biological properties and soil-water conservation .The contents and reasons of erosion in Turkey and ;soil erodibility;Identifying erosion and prevention methods,universal soil loss equation and its applications.Mechanical and cultural precautions for soil water conservation,terraces and applications;Wind erosion and its classification
