Course Goal / Objective

The aim of the course is to convey the concept of journalism in all its aspects and to make sure that the student has a sufficient background in the area. This framework refers to mass media used as news transmission media and the law governing the use of these media. Also explains freedom of the press, or situations that limit the use of this freedom, so that the consciousness of ensuring that the student behaves in accordance with his / her professional ethics is ensured.

Course Content

The course deals with journalism in all its aspects. In this context, issues such as communication, communication in Turkey and the development of freedom of communication are explained by considering basic rights and freedoms. Apart from this, the course includes the development of the press, the structure of the press organizations, administrative and criminal responsibilities.
