Course Goal / Objective
The aim of course is to examine the innovations encountered in the field of documentary film in the 21st century and discuss them in line with different disciplines.
Course Content
Within the scope of the course, chosen documentaries shot in the 21st century will be examined, innovative and different approaches in documentary film production will be discussed. The effects of changes in film production, distribution and exhibition practices along with digitalization on documentary cinema will be examined. The new narrative possibilities offered by the documentary films as a result of characterization and narrative change, the relationship between reality and fiction, which will be discussed through the film examples from the world and Turkey.
