Course Goal / Objective

It aims to introduce the lessons that the students who start their education in the electricity program will take during their education and to connect the profession with the areas of expertise and business lines. For this purpose, basic electricity, basic magnetism and materials science will be explained.

Course Content

asic units, electrical energy and its properties, atomic structure and electron theory, conductors, insulators and semiconductors, electric charge, electric field, electric current, its types and effects, effects of electric current, current density, conductor cross-section calculations according to current amount, electromotive force EMK) and its effects, static electricity, physical dimension of resistance, change of resistance with temperature, strength of resistance, reading resistance value, electrical circuit types, ohm law, current and voltage laws, voltage dividers, capacitors, coils, inductive and capacitive reactance calculations, capacitors and Transient and steady state analysis of coils, factors affecting capacity and inductance, basic electromagnetism, types of power plants, energy transmission and distribution, transformers.
