Course Goal / Objective

The sudents learn the concept of natural resources and their types as well as the using and conservation prenciples of natural resources

Course Content

Concept of natural resource and types of natural resources, characteristics of renewable resources, rational use of resurces and sustainable development, population increase and its effectes on the natural reource uses, management of natural resorces, management and administratoiun of naturl resources in Turkey, conservation of natural resources

PLO04 - Finds the source of environmental, biological, technical, production system and economic problems that may adversely affect the achievement of the desired level of yield and quality in field crops agriculture, can develop solutions based on plants and research, and uses information technologies effectively.
PLO05 - Gains experience in the field of Field Crops and Agricultural Engineering, seed production and problems of Field Crops, the development of quality seeds and product storage, and learns about the standards used in the profession. Can make discipline-specific teamwork for solving problems.
PLO06 - Gains experience in the identification and protection of genetic resources and reproduction methods in field crops. Ability to work effectively in disciplinary and multi-disciplinary teams; acquire the ability to work individually.
PLO07 - Have the ability to acquire new information in the field of Field Crops, research, evaluate, write reports, do consultancy and expertise, prepare and apply design and production reports, make effective presentations, and take and give clear and understandable instructions.
PLO08 - Field Crops irrigation, fertilization, detection of diseases and pests, mechanization, post-harvest storage etc. has the ability to learn lifelong, access information, follow developments in science and technology, and constantly renew itself on discipline-specific issues.
PLO09 - She/He acts in accordance with ethical principles in the fields of Field Crops and Agricultural Engineering, has professional and ethical responsibility and awareness in engineering applications. (
