Course Goal / Objective

To know the monumental trees that have survived from the past as natural heritage. The place of monumental trees in our history and culture, to have knowledge about the meanings attributed to monumental trees in our culture.

Course Content

In this course, the trees that have survived as natural monuments and have the value of monumental trees will be introduced. Criteria for counting monumental trees and classification of monumental trees according to their characteristics will be explained. The place of monumental trees in our history and culture and monumental trees in our region and their stories will be told. The importance of transferring these values to future generations as a cultural heritage will be examined.
