Course Goal / Objective
The course focuses on the social functions of science and in particular the publicization of science / knowledge. It emphasizes the role of the media in the process of knowledge production and distribution; and in the context of science communication, questions the relations/connections between scientists and the media and society.
Course Content
This course focuses on science communication and media. The historical development, current situation and problems of science communication are emphasized. It draws attention to the flows and problems between the scientific community and the public community.
