Course Goal / Objective

Students earn sufficient knowledge and skills. Also the theory and concepts of aging, process-related problems, to identify the physiological and psychological changes, appropriate nursing interventions, learning, caring for the elderly is to explain the legal and ethical dimension.

Introduction to resources and publications, Definition of Geriatric medicine, elderly population in the world and in our country, Physiological changes in the elderly, Mechanisms of aging and anti-aging, Psychosocial Requirements for Geriatric Diseases, Exam (for students with assignments assessed) ,Communicating with Geriatric Patients, Geriatric Patient Nutrition and Fluid Balance Nursing Home Visit, Drug use in Geriatric patients, To prevention home accidents and falls ,Quality of life in geriatrics and rehabilitation
