Course Goal / Objective

The general aim of this course; the history and development of the pharmacy profession, the mission of the students in terms of society and humanity; General explanation of modern medicine, pharmaceutical dosage forms, drugs and toxicity, the introduction of the departments in the faculty and their fields of study, important topics in pharmacy from different departments, terms used in the pharmacy profession, prefixes, suffixes, prescription information and pharmacopeias.

Course Content

The mission of the pharmacy profession in terms of history, development, society and humanity, Pharmaceutical Dosage Forms, General description of drug and toxicity, Introduction and work areas of department branches in the faculty, Important topics in different pharmacy branches, It also contains information on the terms used in the pharmacy profession and prescription information and pharmacopoeias.
