Course Goal

Gaining basic knowledge and concepts about Clothing Technology, introducing the production steps and basic processes in clothing, giving information about quality control of clothing technology.

Course Content

Steps in ready-to-wear and apparel. Lay plan. Lay machines. Cutting machines. Preparation for sewing. Sewing seams, sewing machines, auxiliary parts. Overlock, double needle, chain stitch machines and sewing machines. Finishing processes applied to clothes. Fixing and ironing section, technologies used. Quality control in clothing. Production on selected products. Packaging and shipping in garments
