Course Goal

To be able to understand musical instruments that can be produced from ceramic materials, the materials used and their measurements. To be able to create rich data before the design and production stages by scanning the visual and auditory sources related to the planned musical instrument. Comprehending which of the percussion, wind and string instruments can be produced with ceramic materials. To be able to develop an effective solution against the negativities that may occur by understanding the design and production processes of the instrument(s) to be produced with ceramic material. To be able to transform the instrument(s) he/she produces into original works with an artistic point of view.

Course Content

Introducing the musical instruments planned to be made of ceramic materials and the materials used. Introduction of percussion instruments made of ceramic materials and the materials used in their production. Determining the instrument that is thought to be produced from ceramic material and developing ideas for its design. Planning and development of the design and production phase of percussion and wind string instruments planned to be produced from ceramic materials.
