Course Goal

It is aimed to gain competencies in understanding the importance of hydraulics and hydrology in engineering plan and project studies and solving basic problems related to these issues.

Course Content

Basic properties of fluids; Fluid statics; Continuity and Bernoulli's equation; Energy exchange and energy losses in closed pipes; Hydrological cycle; System concept in hydrology; Analysis of precipitation data; Stream flow, level-flow relationship; Hydrograph analysis.
