Course Goal

To make cross-section calculations of the bearing elements of reinforced concrete structures in environmental engineering.

Course Content

Dimensioning and reinforcement of structural load-bearing elements, columns, beams, slabs, etc.

To have taken the Static Strength course.

LO01 Learns what are the structural elements in reinforced concrete and where they can be used in environmental engineering. Calculates the elements and loads operating under horizontal and vertical loads in the carrier system.
LO02 Learns to calculate the dead and live loads carried by the carrier system. Knows what is reinforced concrete, the components that make up the concrete and the reinforcement properties used in reinforced concrete.
LO03 ILearns the material behavior of concrete and steel and their shape changes against stresses. Calculates the cross-sectional dimensions and the amount of reinforcement by the method of bearing capacity of the columns.
LO04 Learns beams as bearing elements and section calculation in single reinforced beams. Learns cross-section calculation with bearing force method in double-reinforced beams.
LO05 Slab types and slab slab section calculation. Learns rectangular or square slab slab sizing and reinforcement calculation.
