Course Goal

To learn the basic design criteria for drinking water treatment processes, both theoretically and practically.

Course Content

Basic properties, quality criteria and standards of drinking water, General Principles for the Design and Construction of Drinking Water Treatment Plants, Data Required for the Design of Drinking Water Treatment Plants, Screens and reservoir, cascade aeration process, fast and slow mixing units, settling pools, filtration and rapid sand filtration, disinfection unit, sweats and applications
