Course Goal / Objective

In this course, students of Biomedical Engineering Department is intended to develop skills such as diodes and transistors, the basic structures of semiconductor circuit elements, the physical operating principles and practices to learn the circuit, analog electronics applications, the basis for further work on the creation and electronic circuit analysis and design.

Course Content

Semiconductors, P-N junction diodes, DC diode circuits, small and large signal ac diode circuits, zener diodes, LED, Bipolar junction transistors (BJT), DC and ac analysis of BJT circuits, single-stage BJT amplifiers, cascade and cascode BJT amplifiers, Field Effect Transistors (FETs); DC and AC analysis of MOSFET circuits, single-stage MOSFET amplifiers, frequency response of BJT and MOSFET amplifier circuits.
