Course Goal / Objective

To teach students the definition and applications of tissue engineering and various approaches to the treatment of damaged tissue using biomaterials and cells

Course Content

Cell-tissue structure and relationship, Tissue types and properties, Damages in tissues and treatment methods, Use of biomaterials in tissue engineering, Extracellular matrix structure and its relationship with tissue engineering, Intercellular transport, Cell signaling mechanism, Tissue engineering in the treatment of damaged tissue approach, Methods used for artificial tissue and organ production, Nanobiomaterials and their use in tissue engineering, Regenerative medicine
