Course Goal / Objective

To teach basic electrical and electronic circuit elements for physicists, working principles and circuit analysis.

Course Content

Introduction to Basic Electronics, Fundamentals of Electrical Circuits, DC Network Analysis, AC Network Analysis, Transient Analysis, EM Resonance and Applications, Power in AC Circuits, Operational Amplifiers, Semiconductors and Rectifier and Voltage Regulator Electronic Circuits, Bipolar Junction Diodes: Operation, Circuit Models and Applicationss, Field Effect Transistors: Operation, Circuit Model and Applications, Power Electronics, Digital Logic Circuits, Integrated Digital Circuits.

LO11 Knows and analyzes the operation of bipolar junction diodes. Designs the circuit model and applications.
LO12 Explains the operation of Field Effect Transistors (FETs), design and implement circuit model.
LO13 Understands power electronics and performs circuit analysis of power electronics.
LO14 Uses digital logic circuits and designs and analyzes new digital circuits.
LO15 Designs and analyzes the integrated digital circuits
