Course Goal / Objective
he aim of this course; The aim of this course is to transfer the necessary knowledge in all matters related to fruit growing (general fruit growing and fruit growing technique) and to acquire the skills to find rational solutions to the problems faced in these matters and to develop advanced techniques and strategies.
Course Content
Within the scope of the course; historical development of fruit growing, its economic importance and classification of fruit types, morphological and biological characteristics of organs such as roots, stems, leaves, flowers and fruits of fruit trees, climatic and soil requirements of fruit trees, generative and vegetative propagation methods, growing saplings, establishing an orchard, annual maintenance operations (soil cultivation, irrigation). fertilization, pruning, disease and pest control, harvesting and preparation for market) will be covered.
