Course Goal

The greenhouse cultivation of tomato, cucumber, pepper, eggplant, melon, watermelon and squash species, which have the highest economic importance in greenhouse cultivation in Turkey and the world, is explained. Proporties of different growing periods in greenhouses, features of varieties suitable for greenhouse cultivation, current commercial varieties, parameters required for climate control (temperature, humidity, lighting etc.) in greenhouses, planting seedlings to greenhouse, plant density in greenhouses, pruning and supporting techniques in different species cultivated in greenhouses, special fertigation program for each species, water requirement of each species, helping pollination and fertilization in different greenhouse vegetables, CO2 fertilization, soilless cultivation techniques, diseases - pests and harvesting stage are explained in detail for each species.

Course Content

Learns modern greenhouse productin techniques of tomato, pepper, eggplant, cucumber, melon, squash etc practically.
