Course Goal / Objective

to inform students on the evaluation, beneficiation, and recovery of minerals or metals that are one of the most critical raw materials based on the economic value and supply risk, from different raw materials (ore, secondary residue).

Course Content

1. Critical Raw Materials 2. Methods for the beneficiation of critical raw materials 3. Methods for the production of Magnesium and magnesium based compounds 4. Antimony ores, production methods of Sb and Sb2O3 5. Bauxite ore, production methods of Al2O3 6. Beneficiation methods for cobalt, gallium, and germanium 7. Rare Earth Elements and their beneficiation from different sources. 8. Phosphor, phosphate, lithium, platinium group elements and their beneficiation methods
