Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to explain the types of aquaculture operations, the physical, chemical, biological and socio-economic effects of aquaculture, different environmental impact assessment practices, the basic principles of ecological aquaculture and to compare aquaculture enterprises with other human activities in terms of environmental impacts.
Course Content
Types of aquaculture farms and operations, comparison of aquaculture enterprises with other human activities in terms of environmental effects, physical, chemical, biological and socio-economic effects of aquaculture, environmental impact assessment, ecological aquaculture.
