Course Goal

The purpose is to understand properties, formation and calassification of the soils developed on the alluvial parent materials.

Course Content

Topographic features developed in quaternary period (fluvial land forms, lacustrine and marine deposits). Deposition patterns and properties of the transported parent materials in the flood plains, deltas and alluvial fans. Main soil forming processes in the alluvial soils. Important morphological features and classification of alluvial soils..
