Course Goal / Objective
At the end of this course, students are expected to understand the functioning of biochemical metabolism and apply biochemical analyses in the diagnosis of diseases related to these.
Course Content
Sampling in clinical biochemistry, clinical enzymology, endocrinology, carbohydrate metabolism disorders, plasma proteins and lipids, liver and kidney functions, iron-mineral and electrolyte metabolism, CSF biochemistry, tumor markers and quality control and standardization in clinical biochemistry laboratories will be discussed in this course.
