Course Goal / Objective
This course aims to theoretically explain the structural and functional structure of local government units in Turkey.
Course Content
This course covers the basic legislation of local governments in Turkey, relations between local governments, local services, historical development of local governments, local government reform, economies of scale and optimal scale in local governments, the effects of the European Union on Turkish local governments.
