Course Goal / Objective
To explain the connection between politics, propaganda and political communication through examples of general elections. To understand the reflections of an election, leader profile, social and economic conditions of the period on campaigns with examples from Turkey and the world. To be able to look at the concepts of election, leader and voter preference from the context of political communication.
Course Content
Taking into account the concepts of political communication and propaganda, it conveys Turkey's multi-party political life with all its examples. Turkey's general elections are analysed within the scope of political communication examples and the connection between the conditions of the period and political campaigns is explained. In addition, election campaigns are examined in all aspects and the campaign examples of the US presidential elections are also analysed.
