Course Goal / Objective
It is aimed to learn the dissolution of metals in acid, basic or aqueous environments/mediums and the metal recovery processes with further methods.
Course Content
Definition, metal recovery by hydrometallurgical methods; copper and nickel, uranium, gold-silver, lead and cobalt, copper plant wastes and copper smelting powders, zinc dusts, fly ash and Kennocott process, definition, theory, principles and application of solvent extraction method; nickel and cobalt, copper, electrochemical reactions and solution chemistry, kinetics of gold-silver solutions, fluidized bed electrowinning.
