Course Goal / Objective

To raise awareness of the disciplines that constitute the artistic aspect of textiles such as art currents, art clothing, fiber art and free textile art in the 20th century, and the works of artists who perceive textiles as art at home and abroad, to provide information about their unique forms of exhibition in museums and exhibition venues, to give sensitivity to textiles as an art object after the process of modernism, to the search for new materials by artists and to the way art expresses.

Course Content

This course includes the place of textiles as an art object in fiber art, their interaction with different disciplines, different presentations and exhibition styles of textiles as art objects in the trilogy of creativity, art and design. In the course, it is aimed to discuss the relationship between fiber art and contemporary art disciplines, to discuss new ideas for creating art objects and to carry out application studies.
