Course Goal / Objective

She/He gains an effective understanding of special analysis techniques used in biochemistry, and gain research competence in the field of forensic biochemistry.

Course Content

In this course, basic methods used in biochemistry laboratory are given. The topics that are based on the computer and internet use in biochemistry researches, general laboratory procedures, centrifugation techniques, purification and analysis of biomolecules by chromatographic methods, characterization of proteins and nucleic acids by electrophoresis, spectroscopic analysis of biomolecules, interaction of biomolecules, structure and analysis of nucleic acids, recombinant DNA, molecular cloning and enzymology, purification and characterization of proteins and discussion of current scientific publications are explained.
