Course Goal / Objective

Introducing the concepts of electromagnetic radiation and radiation , obtaining and resources , exposure and medical uses of isotopes and nuclear medicine applications, to introduce the biological effects of radiation.

Course Content

Electromagnetic radiation - introduction-general information Classification of radiation, Non-ionizing radiation, biological effects and biomedical applications. Biological effects of ionizing radiation and biomedical applications. Nuclear medicine and biomedical applications. Radiation safety Industrial applications of non-ionizing and ionizing radiation. Radiation and the environment.
