Course Goal

The course covers and aims to discuss current concepts, theories and approaches

Course Content

The paradigm shift in the transition from the concept of the culture industry to the creative and cultural industries is critically discussed. Concepts such as creative labor, digital labor, precariatization and creative city are also critically examined. The history, policies, and practices of the creative and cultural industries in different countries and in Turkey are examined through the reports, documents, statistics and data of national and international institutions and organizations that produce content and policies related to the creative and cultural industries.
